Be on the lookout for our snowplows while traveling on Colorado’s state highways and interstates this winter! ❄️

Remember, it’s illegal to pass snowplows in tandem formation, and always stay 3-4 car lengths back. This is to protect you and the plow operators.

Cold weather is here, and it comes with slick roads, black ice, and unpredictable conditions. Help your team stay safe this season with a few simple reminders:

1. Slow down and allow extra space between vehicles.
2. Inspect vehicles regularly – tires, wipers, lights, and fluids.
3. Be alert for black ice, especially on bridges and shaded roads.
4. Keep emergency supplies in every vehicle.
5. Clear all snow and ice from windows, mirrors, lights, and the roof before driving to improve visibility and prevent hazards for you and others on the road.

A little preparation goes a long way toward preventing accidents and keeping your crews safe on the job.

Explore member safety benefits such as access to SambaSafety – a continuous motor vehicle reporting platform to manage risk of automobile use, or train with First Gear Skid School on our SKIDTRUCK driver training course – an immersive driver training experience that simulates how to drive in inclement weather conditions.
