20 Years on the Open Road

Twenty years ago, Sheppards Mill Customs (SMC) opened its doors on February 6, 2006, in Bridgeton, New Jersey, built from the ground up by George and Joyce Willis with a toolbox, a dream, and a deep love for Harley-Davidson motorcycles. No corporate backing. No shortcuts. Just hard work, long nights, and a commitment to doing things the right way.

What began as a shared dream became far more than a repair shop. For two decades, SMC has been a gathering place for riders, builders, and friends—a place where engines get rebuilt, bikes get customized, and stories get swapped. Where hands get dirty, trust gets earned, and every motorcycle is treated like it’s our own.

Built by George and Joyce Willis, this shop stands as a testament to family, craftsmanship, and the spirit of the open road. Through changing times, evolving machines, and countless miles, one thing has never changed: pride in honest work and respect for every rider who rolls through our doors.

From routine maintenance to one-of-a-kind custom builds, every bolt turned over the last 20 years represents dedication, grit, and heart.

This milestone belongs to our loyal customers, our riding family, and everyone who believed in a small shop with a big passion. Thank you for 20 incredible years—and here’s to many more miles, many more builds, and keeping the spirit of Harley-Davidson alive one bike at a time.

20 years strong. Family built. Still riding. Still wrenching. 🏍️🔥
