Look what found its way back home! 1959 ElCamino I painted about 4-5 years ago paid me a visit today. Owner I painted it for sold it A couple years ago. It went to Grand Rapids Mi. Then to AZ then to FL. I saw it on Bring a Trailer for sale a couple weeks ago. Owner I painted it for bought it back.

Surfing through Facebook today and this popped up on my feed. I did the paint and bodywork on this a while back. Not sure where the car is now. These are big cars and a lot of work! But they’re bad ass!

These were the top 5 cars competing for the Bavarian Heritage Cup at Frankenmuth Autofest 2025. The winner is the 1957 Chevrolet Cameo pick up. Custom leather interior,Roadster Shop chassis,525hp LS3 engine

One of the biggest car shows in the Mid- West. Frankenmuth Auto Fest is held every year the weekend after Labor Day. This year was the 42nd annual show. I was a participant in the first show. (Yeah I’m old!) The following pics are some of the competitors from the indoor portion of the show. Applicants apply for 40 coveted spots for a chance to win the Bavarian Cup Award. I was asked to help pick the top 5 and out of those the ultimate winner. If you’re a hot rod builder and want to spend a weekend in a great town with great restaurants, a couple water parks, a huge block party on Friday night then put this event on your list. The total car count for this years show was around 2300 cars I’ll post pics of the winner of the Bavarian Cup Award tomorrow afternoon (9-7-25)

1959 ElCamino I stripped and painted a couple years ago. Featured on Tamco Paints web site. I stumbled on this companies products a few years ago. Much more economical than the big paint manufacturers and excellent gloss retention.
