Yesterday began as a routine workday, with several standard jobs scheduled—tasks I have performed countless times before. In a matter of moments, however, everything changed. As many of you in the Brick area, particularly near Mantoloking Road, may already know, American Automotive was impacted by a fire. I am incredibly grateful to have walked away safely.
I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to the fire crews, paramedics, hazmat team, and the Brick Township Police Department for their swift response, professionalism, and commitment to safety. I am especially thankful that no one was injured while responding to and battling the fire.
Thank you to Anthony and the team at Mantoloking Road Alehouse for generously opening your doors, allowing us to use your space, and providing support to the first responders during such a difficult time. Your kindness meant more than you know.
To my customers and the surrounding community: please know that I am safe, as are the neighboring homeowners. As I begin to navigate the next steps for American Automotive, I respectfully ask for privacy and continued support. This business represents far more than a workplace for my family and me—and you have always been more than just customers.
I am deeply grateful for the outpouring of support from this community and will need that strength now more than ever.
