A #8 Budweiser Car of Tomorrow (COT) NASCAR Chevrolet Impala. A road-racing-executed build, it began as Dale Earnhardt Inc. chassis DEI-0208060. This car was built by Dale Earnhardt Incorporated on February 2008 and the 60th car (0208060) with its NASCAR RFID tags intact. Never wrecked, this beautiful machine is wrapped with the number 8, one of the most iconic race cars in all of NASCAR and is set up for road course use. Under the hood is the Pro-Motors built Chevrolet NASCAR 800 Horsepower small-block (SB-2). This motor is a roller cam, dry sump engine with a Holley 830 carburetor, mini starter, complete with NASCAR-type driveline. The power train includes a triple disc clutch, Jerico High Tower 4 speed transmission and Ford 9” rear end with a 3.73-gear ratio. The chassis has Penske road course shocks, 22 gallon fuel cell, and a DEI dry sump oil tank. All the unique DEI road-course equipment, with DEI logo parts are intact, including spindles, truck arms and lower control arms, as well as spring perches, motor mounts and the Earnhardt signature dash panel. Inside is the Earnhardt ISP road-course seat with correct Sabelt harnesses and associated equipment that made these revolutionary COT cars into transitional icons of speed and durability, brought back to life by Larry Gunselman as a Dale Earnhardt Jr. tribute car.
