The first went to a private collector for a reported $300,000.00, and occupies a spot in the new owners Mancave. The second car was sold at the Mecum auction in 2018 as a fully documented car for $192,500.00 plus fees. This car number 60 is the equal to the Mecum Auction car. Incredible in every detail and exteriorly in like new condition. Raced in its original Blue and White livery by Mark Martin and Eric Almirola, but undamaged, it's the real deal!

Dale Earnhardt Jr. came out from behind his late father’s shadow to prove himself a winner and the car offered here is a very special part of that heritage. In the ultracompetitive NASCAR series of the 21st century, teams have specific cars for specific tracks. This vehicle is a 2008 tribute car. A #8 Budweiser Car of Tomorrow (COT) NASCAR Chevrolet Impala. A road-racing-executed build, it began as Dale Earnhardt Inc. chassis DEI-0208060. This car was built by Dale Earnhardt Incorporated on February 2008 and the 60th car (0208060) with its NASCAR RFID tags intact. Never wrecked, this beautiful machine is wrapped with the number 8, one of the most iconic race cars in all of NASCAR and is set up for road course use. Under the hood is the Pro-Motors built Chevrolet NASCAR 800 Horsepower small-block (SB-2). This motor is a roller cam, dry sump engine with a Holley 830 carburetor, mini starter, complete with NASCAR-type driveline. The power train includes a triple disc clutch, Jerico High Tower 4 speed transmission and Ford 9” rear end with a 3.73-gear ratio. The chassis has Penske road course shocks, 22 gallon fuel cell, and a DEI dry sump oil tank. All the unique DEI road-course equipment, with DEI logo parts are intact, including spindles, truck arms and lower control arms, as well as spring perches, motor mounts and the Earnhardt signature dash panel.
