Texas Speed & Performance invited us out to check out some of their HP Tuned cars, and you know we had to see the Ron Fellows C6 🀯

Featuring their 3-inch high-flow catted X-pipe and exhaust, and of course tuned using the MPVI4, this car runs (almost) like a dream, as long as your key fob has a new battery.

Are you still using the original MPVI1 or MPVI1 Pro?

Earlier this year, we announced that the original MPVI1 and MPVI1 Pro interfaces will reach end-of-life on January 1, 2027.

Since then, many customers have asked how future HP Tuners web service updates may affect specific controllers. To provide more clarity, we've expanded our MPVI1 End-of-Life FAQ with additional information.

What hasn't changed:

β€’ Your original MPVI1 will not stop working on January 1, 2027.
β€’ Existing licenses, Unlimited licenses, and previously purchased credits remain valid.
β€’ You can continue using your MPVI1 with compatible versions of VCM Suite.

What's new:

Not every controller supported by the original MPVI1 interacts with HP Tuners web services in the same way.

Some controllers only require internet during an initial read, some only during the first write, and others only for optional features such as Virtual Read. In these cases, existing licensed vehicles are generally not impacted.

Other controllers rely on HP Tuners web services during every read and write operation. As those services continue to evolve, they will eventually require newer versions of VCM Suite that are not compatible with the original MPVI1 interface. When that occurs, those controllers will require a currently supported HP Tuners interface.

To make these differences easier to understand, we've updated the FAQ with:

β€’ Controller categories based on how they use HP Tuners web services.
β€’ Information identifying whether existing MPVI1 customers are affected.
β€’ An up-to-date list that will continue to evolve as new controllers and software requirements are introduced.

Whether you use your MPVI1 every day or only occasionally, we encourage you to review the updated FAQ to see how these changes apply to your specific controller or vehicle.
