Highlands Automotive We repair all makes and models of cars, trucks and SUV's. We use quality original parts and off very competitive pricing.

Highlands Automotive was opened in Branson Missouri by owner Pedro Rodriguez in the winter of 2009. Pedro was a trained mechanic who had been repairing cars since he was old enough to hold a wrench. During high school he signed up for all the available mechanic classes and after graduating he attended the Toyota Technical Educational Network auto mechanic school where he graduated in 1996. While still in school he was hired by Kendal Toyota which was the largest Toyota dealer in the United States. Pedro put his classroom learning to use doing repairs at the Florida dealership. In 2001 Pedro was asked to come to work for Dade County. The county had over 6,000 vehicles made up of all makes and models including cars, trucks, vans and SUV’s. Pedro expanded his knowledge of auto repair in his years working on all these vehicles. Throughout his career he has kept up to date with new technology and repair methods by attended numerous training classes and schools. In 2009 his family decided to move to Branson Missouri. His wife worked for the Hilton Hotel chain and they offered her a job at the Branson location. After coming to Branson for a visit they quickly fell in love with the area and decided the friendly people and good family environment would be a good place to raise their girls. Pedro quickly took steps to open his own auto repair business and by 2009 he was licensed and ready to open to the public. Since that time Pedro and his employees have helped thousands of Branson’s motorists stay on the road. Highlands Automotive has developed a reputation for competitive prices, quality work and honesty. They do all kinds of repairs to all makes and models including:

• Brake services
• Internal Engine Services
• General Services

Highlands Automotive takes its name from a ministry Pedro started in 2008 called Highlands Ministries which is helping the native people of Ecuador who live high in the Andes Mountains. Each year Pedro leads three mission teams to the small mountain village of Quislag, Ecuador where his ministry has built a church for the surrounding area to attend. These poor people who live high in the Andes Mountains have almost been forgotten by the world, but Pedro and Highlands Ministry continues to bring the news of Jesus Christ’s love to these wonderful people. 🌨🥶Winter weather is around the corner, this is a good time to get your car 🚘 ready for the winter❄️⛄️. Here are 10 tips 📋 to help you get ready for the colder temps.

1. Check your coolant. The right 50/50 mixture can prevent your fluid from freezing.

2. Check your battery. In cold weather, your battery has to work harder to make the chemical reactions to make electricity. In the winter, battery failure can leave you in the cold.

3. Fill your wiper fluid. This is a must to help you keep your window clear of ice, snow, salt and mud. Use freeze resistant wiper fluid.

4. Replace your wiper blades. Did you know that most wiper blade only last 6 months to a year? Consider getting heavy duty wiper blade for winter conditions.

5. Inspect or replace your tires. Worn tires are a serious hazard in winter conditions. All season tires and winter tires are designed to grip in cold conditions.

6. Check your tire pressure. Your tire pressure drrops about 1 PSI for every drop of 10 degrees. Check your tires side walls and owners manual for recommended tire pressure.

7. Change your oil. Cold weather thickens oil and reduces its ability to circulate. Some vehicles owners manual recommend a thinner oil in the winter.

8. Check your belts and hoses. Cold temps can weaken belts and hoses. Check for cracks, tears and other signs of wear and replace as needed.
