Emergency repair for this sick 37 Freeman Boatworks, one engine had a major water leak. removed the intake manifold to repair it with out hauling boat. someone left a few hoses without clamps or zip ties. fixed it up and made sure the other 3 engines weren’t gonna experience same issues. back out to the canyons she goes!

haven’t been good about posting this summer, we’ve been extremely busy keeping everyone’s engines going strong! this yamaha f200 was mixing water with crankcase oil, after testing everything on power head we pulled it to replace the powerhead gasket and fixed the oil issue. flushed oil a handful of times and this one’s back on the water!

that’ll cause a misfire! cracked spark plug insulator on this Yamaha 300. We also did a VST service on the center engine as it was leaking fuel out the vent.

This cable still has plenty of life left! The rigging to these 3.3 Yamaha’s was hurting. We ran new control cables, and replaced the rigging tubes/flanges. Looks much better and operates much better!

blue boat day! took care of a much needed service on the 27 Jupiter, according to the dates written on oil filters, oil hasn’t been changed since 11/2024! also took care of the 32 Contender with a fresh set of dual purpose AGM batteries

Just finished some upgrades to this newly acquired Grady White 236. Xplore 12, Humminbird thru hull transducer, icom vhf mounted in top box, lithium battery, charger and wiring all set up for a minn kota install. was able to mount the battery in a hidden compartment (didn’t get a pic of that all finished up lol) this boats ready to catch!

The week of trim! this week we completed repairs on trim units from a 70hp Mercury to a 425 Yamaha, 400 V10 Mercury, 250HO Etec, 300 Verado… amongst all the other services we did. it comes in waves! busy busy busy here at Cowboy Marine mobilemechanic

Don’t let your engine over heat because of simple overlooked maintenance! on 4.2L Yamahas, the fuel cooler on the VST gets a ton of salt buildup. That leads to this, water passages totally blocked. This should be checked at least every other year if not annually! Preventative maintenance saves you time and money before things get worse.
