We join with the Copham's in saluting and remembering Jed Copham. Pause in your day to remember Jed and what he brought to BIR. You are sorely missed by your friends, the school, and everyone at StreetSmarts and the BIR Performance Driving School. Our love and prayers continue to go out to the Copham family and everyone who knew Jed.

Due to CDC and the State of MN COVID-19 regulations and recommendations, we have cancelled our June 16 and June 30 StreetSmarts event dates. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes anyone. Our first priority is the safety of our guests and employees. Stay well, stay safe and we will see you soon!

To our Performance Driving Community and BIR PDS Staff Members,

We hope that this notice finds you healthy and safe after the global spread of the COVID-19 virus. We would like to assure everyone that as of this date, we are still committed to holding our performance driving events throughout the 2020 season at the BIR Performance Driving School located at the Brainerd International Raceway.

The commitment to the safety of our community, customers and staff are of vital importance to us and as such we will be instituting all CDC recommendations and guidelines.

We are currently reviewing our procedures and practices and will keep everyone appraised through social media of any/all changes that we will be enacting to help ensure the safety of everyone attending events this season.

In the meantime, we hope that everyone continues to abide by the safety protocols established by the CDC, state and local governments, and remains healthy and clear of this virus. It is a truly challenging time for all and we hope to soon offer some safe, exciting relief from the boredom and anxiety that we are sure many of you are currently enduring.

Please share this posting with any friends, associates or family members that have or intend to visit us at the track this season. Also, please recommend that they follow our page to stay appraised of any/all changes related to the BIR Performance Driving School for 2020.

Recently, state regulations have changed. As a result, unfortunately, we are no longer able to provide defensive driving courses for 15 year old drivers with driving permits. However, anyone 16 years of age or older with a valid state issued driver's license can join in! StreetSmarts is available for all licensed drivers.

Over this Thanksgiving holiday we reflect on how much we appreciate and are thankful for all of our wonderful customers, employees and community members that support our efforts in providing the best advanced defensive driving course in the upper Midwest!
