Kankakee County Toys for Tots is looking for a space to store, sort, bag and distribute our toys this year. Need ASAP, needs to be approximately 4000 to 5000 square feet. We usually go to the mall, but this year they want us to pay $500 a month rent and pay the utilities too. I don't mind the utilities part, but at 500 a month, that takes money away from buying the extra toys we need to fill all the applications. The current temp is -8 with a windchill of -28. We gave the bunnies and goats hot water in their waterers so it doesn’t freeze as quickly and extra straw for deep bedding. They don’t seem to care about the weather. I think we farmers all do these extra things to make ourselves feel better. 😂
