Have been busy this year with a number of projects and one captured the essence of what being a car restoration specialist is really all about. I was brought a 1931 Ford 4 door sedan (Murray) to "rebuild." The customer has now taken this back into their possession to do the interior and final paint themselves. But when it arrived here? Well, let's just say that several boxes and a sad looking, decayed part of a car was all I had to begin with. Along the way, I had to use all my carpentry skills to custom fabricate pieces of the frame that were missing. I had to create hinges and brackets from metal that needed welding into the proper places. There was body work to be done and fitting all of that together to create the final, beautiful car that was ready for the owner to do the finish work. I have to say that along the way, I was amazed at the helpful Model A owners and supplies that I asked for advise and was given it freely. I am always amazed at the love for these great old cars and the people that own them. So, here are a couple pictures of the process and hopefully, when the car is completed, we will get some current pictures to share too. What an amazing and often mind boggling process this restoration has been!

We have had a very busy Summer here at Timeless Rides and Rods so, please, forgive the lack of posting here on the page to keep in touch with all of you wonderful people! Hopefully, we can share some updates and photos of our latest projects and new ones that arrived here for restorations over the next few days. But, the FIRST one we wanted to share is just so awesome that it simply had to be shared first! While driving home from picking up parts in town, I came across a couple that had broken down right at my exit off the highway. Now, this was no ordinary vehicle! Nope! This was a beautiful 1930 Model A!! The lovely couple was from down south and they were driving this historic car all over the western states for their vacation time! Well, long story short, we got the car and its owners back on the road and made some very nice friends in the process. Thanks to our local Model A collector-friends for helping out with original parts and things to assist me in pulling an all-nighter in the garage so that these delightful folks could get back out on the highway and complete their trip. What an amazing couple with a truly amazing piece of history that they have driven thousands of miles in!! Here is a picture of this car as I am getting ready to unload her into the garage for repairs.
