Today we honor Ken Sons — our dispatcher, our steady voice on the other end of the phone, and a true part of the Beck’s Towing family.
Even working part-time, Ken was part of the backbone of this company. He made sure the trucks rolled, the drivers were where they needed to be, and the day stayed on track. He carried more than the job — he carried us.
He showed up with loyalty, humor, and that unmistakable laugh that could break the tension in any room. He loved the chaos of the office — especially when Stephanie would bring in new rescues. He looked forward to meeting every single one of them, along with her personal dogs, and never missed a chance to give them attention.
And yes… he may have routed drivers the wrong way once or twice — but we loved him for it.
His presence brought comfort. His voice brought reassurance. His heart was bigger than most people ever knew.
Dispatch won’t sound the same without him. And truthfully, neither will we.
“His smile and laugh lit up the room.” And it truly did.
Rest easy, Ken. Thank you for everything you gave to this company and to all of us.
We’ll take it from here.
