Something to think about….This past Saturday we had Jim Bongard here at the shop taking care of our NHRA chassis certification needs. We got into a conversation about quality bolts/hardware. Very few things we purchase have quality hardware, whether it’s for our on track equipment or off track equipment, even if it’s from an American manufacturer. Here’s a few things to consider, the coupler on a trailer, the centers on race wheels, some have a "JH” manufacture indication, Jinn Her- based in China, even though it’s a grade 8 bolt it’s not made in USA. The picture with the n or what looks like a u is an American made bolt, manufacturer Nucor. Something is simple as a coupler bolted to the tongue of a trailer, in my opinion, should only ever have a quality fastener, same thing goes for the centers on our aftermarket wheels. Just something to think about.
