We want to let you know that Bowman Glass will be temporarily closed as we take a step back to focus on Mike's health.

We truly appreciate your patience and understanding during this time. We are grateful for your continued support and look forward to returning when we're able.

Please know that small projects and previously scheduled jobs will be completed when possible. We will be in contact with you soon. We appreciate your flexibility as timelines may be adjusted based on circumstances.

Located at 14453 86th St SW on Highway 12 East, just south of West Plains Implement, Bowman Glass is a trusted local business serving the Bowman area. The business is owned by Mike and Jodi Tivey and is now going into its 13th year after a short break.

Bowman Glass provides many services for both homes and businesses. These include windshield repair and replacement, glass replacement for semi trucks and farm equipment, garage door repair and replacement, laminate safety glass cutting, mirror and custom glass cutting, and residential window repair and replacement. Their wide range of services helps meet many local needs.

The business is known for quality work and dependable service. Bowman Glass gives people in the area a local place to go for glass services without having to travel far.

Mike and Jodi hope to keep serving their community for years to come. They want to help small towns stay strong by offering needed services close to home.

We have some exciting news!!

Mike & Bowman Glass are back! 🖤

He will be running the business a little different - this time as a one man crew. Jodi will continue working at DWB.

We are excited to bring Bowman Glass back to our local areas!

Bowman Glass & Uhaul as we have all known it for so long is now closed. (Except for windshield chip repairs and replacements along with laminate safety glass cutting which will be done on weekends/evenings by appt only-see previous post for details! We will post on this page off and on for those things as well.)

Mike and I first want to thank all of the employees we have had over the years! You helped us keep this place going and we hope you know how much we truly appreciated you and still consider you family!! We could not have done it without you. Don’t be strangers!!

To all of our customers ranging from Bowman, Slope, Harding and Adams County…THANK YOU for trusting us and for your business. Thank you for your patience, understanding, jokes and visits!!! It was so great getting to know so many new people over the last 11 ½ years! We hope you know we always did the best we could…we were far from perfect but we truly tried to back up our work, fix any issues and make things go as smoothly for you as we could.

There were so many great moments and of course down moments over these 11 ½ years. Over those years we encountered many changes in employees, running the shop and office just the hubs and I, moving out to our new shop which was a huge step for us….followed by heartbreaking times for our farmers and ranchers, not being able to sell our house in town for so many years, many family and friends health issues and deaths along with our own health issues, running a small business with COVID going on, economic hardships, increasing prices and freight and so much more but…..

We had the blessings of having watched our daughter graduate from college as a teacher, bring an amazing son (in law) and 2 amazing grandchildren into our lives. The Littles have spent all of their years so far knowing Bowman Glass, knowing to look for and ride in Boppa’s Van and coming to visit GrmaJoJo at work!! I so loved being able to care for them here while they were sick. I will definitely miss that opportunity!

Many lessons learned and many memories made!

As we take a different scenic route in our lives…we are SO LOOKING FORWARD to the new chapter in our lives and look forward to seeing you out in the communities in a different way!!

Our communities/counties rock…our small businesses are amazing. Support them always!!

We are down to the final 3 days of Bowman Glass & Uhaul as we have all known it for the last 11 1/2 years. (And for many of you, much longer than that.) Mike and Porter took the sign down last week. Definitely bittersweet!

Mike started his job as a Custodian at the Bowman County Schools this week so it's just Porter, Maddie and myself holding down the shop through our last day on Thursday!! (August 31) I will start at Dakota Western Bank on Tuesday, Sept 5.

**All services will be discontinued at that time EXCEPT FOR:
~Windshield Chip Repairs and Replacements
~Laminate Safety Glass Cutting
On weekends by appointment only.

You can continue to call 701-523-5647 and leave a message for an appointment and I will return your call as time allows during evenings after work!

We will continue to be working through our current job lists/service calls on weekends so please bear with us!

Thanks again to all of you for your amazing support over the last 11 1/2 years!!! We are SOOOO excited for this new chapter in our lives!

UHAUL UPDATE:
We will NOT be able to continue with Uhaul services and those services will be discontinued August 31 as well. HOWEVER, I have been told there IS a business in town interested in taking it over and they have submitted an application. If all goes well, they will likely be opening up around the third week of September.

You will likely see various Uhaul equipment in our yard until that time, but we will not be able to make reservations out of the Bowman location nor will you be able to make them on Uhaul.com out of the Bowman location. You can check with Baker or AgPro in Hettinger for your Uhaul needs!

Mike said it best. “Life and Seasons Change.”

After 11 years of owning Bowman Glass and serving our local communities, we will be closing August 31. This wasn’t a decision we came by easily, but many factors have led us in this direction.
We gave it our all and did the best we could and we cannot thank all of our customers enough for your amazing support over those 11 years.

We are excitedly looking forward to the next chapter in our lives and hoping to find new careers in our community.

We also plan on continuing with windshield repairs and replacements along with laminate safety glass cutting evenings and weekends by appointment. All other services will be discontinued.

We will no longer be taking on new jobs/service calls, etc aside from the windshields and laminate as we have lots to accomplish before we close.

***For those customers we already have on our job lists and for those who have projects here in our shop, we will take care of you and will be in touch if we haven’t already!***

Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts for all of the amazing support you have given us.

We both look forward to finishing out the next month strong and then seeing you out in the community after that!
