Street car takeover recap!! Thursday we fought the air and track but was able to make some decent hits, Friday we came out swinging with a personal best on paper and things were looking up for us being competitive! Saturday came around and we watched it rain all day! Later in the night we went into the semi finals and spun throwing the kitchen sink at it! But afterwards we made on more test hit for the night and luckily the car rattled the tires and I let off early because the pervious cars shredded a carbon driveshaft and of course we hit it…
And anyone that knows us, knows we don’t make post like this but people need to be better!! The owner of the car that broke apparently told the track crew at the end of that track to radio and clean the track and check for debris.. but of course no one called, no one told us to stop and the result of that is a bunch of broken things under the car… the good lord was looking out for us because there is a dent directly in the gas tank but it didn’t burst. Sadly no one is liable, no one cared while we loaded up a broken car due to lazy people!!!
Overall we are very grateful that the track crew tried so hard to make the track useable after raining all day, but to the crew members at the end of the track that are suppose to be vigilant and listen for things like a BROKEN DRIVESHAFT bouncing down the track.. shame on you! Thank god it wasn’t worse than it is and we get to go racing another day.
