Protecting our customers and staff from the spread of the Coronavirus is paramount as we navigate these unprecedented events surrounding the global pandemic. All of our McCracken Auto locations will be maintaining a regular schedule to support and assist you as long as we are able to do so.

We want all of our customers to know what we are doing to help prevent the spread of the disease:
- Though we have a tradition of personal service, we encourage service and repair be coordinated via telephone, email or text and using our key drop service as we understand the need to limit face-to-face contact
- All keys received will be wiped down before and after service. Our key drop will also be cleaned frequently
- We can also help arrange local pickup and dropoff of your vehicle if needed - just let us know
- For those who do come in, know that we will be frequently wiping down our counters, door handles/knobs and other high contact areas with disinfectant
- Our technicians already wear health grade latex gloves when working on your vehicle and our staff are now doing the same
- Vehicle steering wheels, door handles and other contacted surfaces will be wiped down before and after service
- We do have a limited number of loaner vehicles available, which will be disinfected between uses

Most importantly, if you feel ill or are experiencing symptoms, PLEASE stay home and call or email us. We will find a way to assist you. We greatly appreciate your custom and want to keep you and your vehicle safe during this uncertain time.

It's the first of the month! If you're [over]due for a sticker, here's a few quick tips. Because the only thing worse than being pulled over for an expired sticker is being pulled over for an expired sticker while dressed in your sexy state trooper costume. Happy October!

John McCracken owned and worked at McCracken Automotive for 50 years up until his retirement. We are sad to announce that he passed away Sunday afternoon at the age of 80. As many of you know he was a wonderful man and great leader. He ran the shop with honesty and integrity just like his father did, and just like we still do today based on his great example. He will be missed by all of us.

Family and friends will honor and remember John's life by gathering for calling hours at Burke & Blackington Funeral Home, 1479 Washington Street, West Newton on Friday, January 24th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. His Funeral Service will be held on Saturday morning in Natick Lodge of the Elks, 95 Speen Street, Natick at 10 a.m. A private family burial will follow in Vine Lake Cemetery, Medfield.
