There is nothing better than seeing the creation of a small business and watching it grow. When you start your own business it is impossible to know exactly what to do, what to expect day to day and what direction to take things in. The term "figure it out as you go" holds no more truth than when it comes to creating something from scratch and just running with it.

Starting a new business is like having your first kid. You constantly s**e yourself out. "Am I ready?" Well the truth is you're never really ready. But I promise you, the second you hold your newborn for the first time instinct takes over and do what it takes. Preparation and readiness doesn't even matter anymore. You just go with your gut and make it happen. It's not much different when stating your own business.

I wasn't ready to have a kid, until he arrived. I wasn't ready to get married, until I said "I do".
I wasn't ready to start my own business, until I just went for it. Crossing the bridge is the hardest part. Luckily that bridge exists only in your head so you control the choices that will lead you across it.

Like a baby, it needs care and attention. It will become a financial burden, it will cause lead to some sleepless nights, it will make you wonder if you made the right choice, etc. But on the flip side, you will also have joyous moments like closing your first deal, creating your own logo, having a client thank you for an amazing experience, breaking into a new market, etc.

To anyone out there who has that feeling in your gut that screams at you everyday to make the leap, be your own boss, become self sufficient...JUST GO DO IT!

Good luck to anyone out there considering the decision, to those who are currently grinding it out on their own like Mike Bova and Tanks Tees. Creating a second source of income for his family and having fun doing it. There is nothing better than that!

January is the toughest month of the year for dealerships. Most fall short of their quotas and end up overextending themselves to put every last deal together. For anyone who is ready to make a deal and take advantage of this let me know.

I hate the stigma that is associated with the car business. The old ways have created streotypes that still linger heavily today and will for a long time. It is going to take honest car guys who base their careers on integrity to slowly break down those walls.

If you are in the market for a new or used car but have been putting it off because of the headache you expect to go through, lose that fear and let me introduce you to the good car guys in the business. There are a lot more of them than you might think.
