Want to work on Codzilla this summer???
BOSTON HARBOR CRUISES is now auditioning!
Actors with improv skills wanted for the 2017 season of CODZILLA thrill-boat ride!
FULL-TIME seasonal: $12.00-$13.00/Hour PLUS Tips
Job Description and Responsibilities
The CODZILLA ACTOR performs on BHC's high speed, wet, stunt boat. This is a partially scripted experience with lots of room for improv; Codzilla actors also perform some crew-related duties. Check out the website: (http://www.bostonharborcruises.com/codzilla/)
Dates and Times of Employment
CODZILLA begins cruising and splashing on May 6 and continues through October 9. A typical workday is 9 am to 6 or 7 pm, with some variations.
[Please note: applicants must be able to work at least up through and including Labor Day Weekend; preference will be given to those that commit to working through the entire season. Availability on weekends, either Saturday or Sunday or both, is a must.]
Expectations for CODZILLA Actors:
Must be a bit zany, with a high-energy performatance style, have good physical and vocal stamina, and be comfortable learning basic seamanship, handling docking lines, etc. Codzilla actors must be willing to get wet multiple times a day...and even enjoy this aspect. Experience in improvisation - within the boundaries of good taste and a "family-oriented" experience - is a big plus for this position.
Auditions:
To schedule an interview, please apply via email to David Coffin, Director of Narration: [email protected]. Please attach a resume and head-shot if available.
No preparation is necessary. Auditions to be held at Gate 2, Long Wharf, Boston, with specifics to follow once the appointment is confirmed. You may also submit an application in person at BHC's main office, located at 63 Long Wharf in Boston.
[Important note: all applicants for Codzilla Actor positions are subject to a pre-employment drug test and a routine background check, and random drug testing during employment.]
