Question for the Porsche nerds… does Panamera Turbo indeed make only 550hp??? Because this car is ridiculously fast.

Prior to this review, I always kinda looked down at them: I thought they were strange looking (PTSD after the first gen), confused about their identity, and not that great of a car. But after making this full review (video live on AccentOnCars YouTube channel) here’s what I think: it’s more of a sports car than a luxury. The interior is luxurious, don’t get me wrong, but it’s not up to par with the S63 coupe or BMW 8. But it’s definitely sportier and faster than both of them. At this stage of my life, as someone who prefers sporty handling and giggles per mile over comfort, I would buy the Panamera over S63. Given their excellent reliability and depreciation, the 2nd gen Panamera Turbo is such a bargain right now.

8 years ago, I bought my dream car (watch the full video in bio). I made this cartoon because it’s pretty much a story of my life.

I remember being a little kid, looking around with great fascination at every Mercedes I saw. When the w211 came out, it conquered my heart and occupied all my thoughts. The “Panorama Mercedes” is what we called it where I grew up (nickname for the panoramic sunroof).

But we were too poor to afford one. My parents, especially my mom, kept telling me, “study hard and you’ll have everything. And it’s the only way”. Maybe it’s because she was a teacher herself, or maybe it was a wisdom — regardless, she was exactly right. And all these years later, I thank God that I am able to have my own Panorama Mercedes E63. And I bought my dad a car — it wasn’t a Ferrari though ☺️

It’s no surprise that today, cars are my favorite way to relieve stress: filming them, talking with their owners, repairing them, driving them hard, and simply admiring them.

I remember being a little kid, looking around with great fascination at every Mercedes I saw. I read about them in magazines, on the little cards that came with chewing gum, and dreamed that one day I’d have one of my own.

It’s no surprise that today, cars are my favorite way to relieve stress: filming them, talking with their owners, repairing them, driving them hard, and simply admiring them.
