Best time to think about air conditioning on your boat?

It's when you're freezing your 🥜's off in January. Not on July 3rd when you are having the whole family onboard tomorrow. Get in touch to see how we can help improve the comfort on your boat for the coming season.

Hello world 🖖🏼 it's been awhile...Swipe ➡️ to see the potential album covers for our mix tape dropping this spring. We have been busy this past year working on a lot of cool projects and are excited for what 2025 will bring. In the New Year we plan to share a lot more of the work we do and the team that makes BoatRx happen

We still have a few openings on our calendar before the summer season starts. So if you're looking for a:
-lithium upgrade

-air conditioning install from scratch
-self contained air conditioner swap
-ElectroSea strainer
Be sure to reach out!

We equipped this Hinckley Bermuda 40 with a robust lithium battery system that efficiently powers two 12VDC air conditioning units, ensuring a cool and comfortable atmosphere onboard. Currently en route from Southwest Harbor, ME to the Carolinas, this vessel is destined to entertain business guests on afternoon sails. A refreshing and pleasant cabin experience is guaranteed. 🥶 No need for a generator!

Here's a well-installed MAXI 12 air handler for the VRV air conditioning system. Our techs fabricated custom plywood knees which fit the hull shape and provided a stable platform for the rest of the system installation. Due to a high static pressure blower, and an electronic expansion valve (EEV), it can move high-velocity air past its super cold coil, resulting in a tiny package with 12K BTU of cooling capacity. 🥶

Blue boxes! Victron Energy components have been at the heart of our electrical systems for many years. We also love other premium products from Whisper Power and Mastervolt.

Here's a 10kWh lithium battery pack managed by the popular Lynx BMS.

Phil poses next to a new Whisper Power Piccolo 4 generator! It's only 150 lbs and is used exclusively to charge a lithium battery pack. The onboard air conditioning stays on 24 hours daily by running on power stored in these batteries. When the charge gets low, this compact generator is started to put the juice back in!

Here you can see the various refrigeration line sets connecting to the manifold at the VRV compressor unit.

The VRV air conditioning system is designed to be highly efficient and use minimal energy. It works by using variable refrigerant flow technology, which means it adjusts the amount of refrigerant it uses according to the temperature in each zone, allowing it to cool or heat different areas of the boat more efficiently. It also features advanced features like multi-stage compressors, high-efficiency heat exchangers, and precise temperature control. This system is designed to provide long run times from stored energy in batteries, offering generator-free operation!

The VRV8 Compressor is the heart of most BoatRx air conditioning system on vessels under 50'. It's small in size, but packs a punch! We can cool an entire 50' sailing yacht with three air handlers on 1500 watts or less! 😱
