A tough decision has been made. 🫣
At Halcyon European Atelier, every product we use is chosen intentionally. We don’t change fluids lightly—especially engine oil.
After extensive research, technical review, and real-world comparison, we’ve made the decision to transition from Liqui Moly to Fuchs Motor Oils across our shop.
Let’s break it down!
Here’s why:
1️⃣ OEM First, Marketing Second
Fuchs is one of the world’s largest independent lubricant manufacturers and a true OEM supplier. Many European manufacturers use Fuchs oils as factory-fill or approve them directly for service intervals. Less branding—more engineering.
2️⃣ More Direct Manufacturer Approvals
While Liqui Moly produces many high-quality oils, Fuchs consistently carries broader and more direct OEM approvals (BMW, VW, Audi, Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, and others). That matters when engines are engineered to exact specifications—not “close enough.”
3️⃣ Proven Under Heat, Load, and Time
Modern European engines run hotter, tighter tolerances, and longer service intervals. Fuchs oils have demonstrated excellent shear stability, thermal resistance, and wear protection—especially under real-world driving, not just lab tests.
4️⃣ Transparency Over Additives
We prefer oils that meet specifications by formulation, not by relying on aftermarket additive claims. Fuchs focuses on base oil quality and engineering balance rather than marketing-driven enhancements.
