Mayes Speed Shop, LLC Mayes Speed Shop is an auto repair shop located in Boonville NC. JR, shop owner has over 25 years experience on all makes and models. We hope to see you soon.

After 4 long years and many sleepless nights, Mayes Auto Service is back in business, but now it will be known as Mayes Speed Shop. We will have the same great service that you grew to love but with one thing changed, JR will take head of the shop. TJ has decided to stay in retirement after suffering a heart attack in July 2017 but insists on being out in the shop as much as his health will allow him. Along with auto repair, we will continue to offer damage- free towing to our shop and others. We aim to provide you with the upmost service. Thank you for your many years of support.

You don't want my baby girl to look like this again do you? This will be her face if she doesn't get to go on her trip to Washington DC. She's looking for sponsors to finish up filling the spots on this months calendar. If you'd like to help out (any amount helps), message me or her mom to donate. Thank you.

I hope everyone has a great Labor Day weekend. I've made enough money so far year that I'm taking the first hour off Monday. The rest of the day I'm calling in sick. See you all on Tuesday. Wishing I was back in my happy place. Love, peace, and hair grease!

Do any of my friends or followers do mobile pressure washing? I honestly need someone that has a steam genie. I have a customer wanting to pressure wash the engine compartment of his truck before I stick a new engine in it because it's super greasy. Anyone?

How's everyone's summer been? ☀️

We hope everyone has had a fun, safe summer and made lots of great memories with family and friends.

It's been a little while since we've posted, but we've been staying busy here at the shop. During that time, we decided it was the perfect opportunity to give Mayes Speed Shop a fresh logo—one that better represents who we are: a family-owned shop built on honest work, quality repairs, and a passion for classic vehicles.

We truly appreciate everyone who has supported our small business over the years. Whether you've trusted us with your vehicle, recommended us to a friend, or simply shared one of our posts, it truly means more than you know.

Drop a comment with your favorite classic vehicle, the first vehicle you ever owned, or the one you'll always wish you had. We'd love to hear your stories!

I've seen a lot of bad brakes, but never seen where both rear rotors were sawed in half and apparently never made noise. Added a side by side comparison of a new one to the old ones.

Although he wasn't my favorite driver, he was definitely one that always made things interesting. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Busch family.

Can't let the day end without a BIG
Happy Birthday to our favorite mechanic! 🎈
He’s officially reached the age where his back makes more noise than most of the cars in the shop. 🏎️💨

With lots of love, your favorite office assistant 😘

Happy 2nd Anniversary to the one who makes me.. makes me get up, makes me go to work, makes me take my medicine twice a day, makes me eat when I don't wanna. She never lets me get low on Cheerwine. She sleeps right beside me whether I'm sick or not and she never complains about when things get tough. She absolutely completes me. Thank God for the woman you are and the love you've given me. I love you most, I win.
