it’s time to prepare your vehicle for the challenges that winter could bring.
Here are steps you can take to make sure your winter is frost-tastic:
Check Your Battery
Cold weather can be difficult on your car’s battery. Have its battery tested to ensure it’s in good condition. If it’s more than three years old, it might be time for a replacement.
Inspect your Tires
Winter roads can be tricky. Make sure your tires have sufficient tread depth and proper inflation. Consider switching to winter tires for enhanced traction in snow and ice.
Fluid and Wiper
Check your antifreeze levels and consider a more appropriate windshield washer fluid for winter. Don’t forget to inspect and replace your wiper blades if they’re worn or cracked—visibility is key when road conditions are compromised!
Lights and Signals
Shorter days mean you’ll rely more on your vehicle’s lights to get you where you need to be. Ensure all headlights, brake lights and turn signals work properly for safe driving.
Emergency Kit
Prepare an emergency kit to keep in your car. Include items like a blanket, flashlight, first-aid supplies and non-perishable snacks. It’s always better to be prepared!
