Rider 101 (MSF BRC) *license waiver, covers the basic fundamentals for you to develop your capabilities to become a safe and responsible motorcyclist. It provides the opportunity for you to learn the physical and mental skills important for operating a motorcycle.
-Individuals must be 15 years of age & up.
-Students must register by the EXACT name as it appears on Driver’s License. Failure to d
o so may result in student not receiving certification.
-Students must be able to ride a bicycle, as the skill of balancing is not taught in this course.
-Previous motorcycle riding experience is not required to enroll in this course (although it can be very helpful). This course is designed for the new rider.
*Please note the riding portion is physically demanding, if you have questions or concerns, please contact the site where you are registered for training, before the beginning of class. Each student is required to attend the ENTIRE class in order to pass. The lessons build on each other and we have it timed to be done in a weekend. Location: Classes held on Parking Lot at Bonner Springs High School. Weekend Class times:
Friday – 6-10pm,
Saturday & Sunday – 7am-3pm OR
Saturday & Sunday - 12-8pm
Weekday Class times: (Summer only)
Friday – 6-10pm,
Monday & Tuesday – 7am-3pm OR
Monday & Tuesday -- 12-8pm
-Bring protective clothing for riding ALL 3 days of class
-Protective clothing required: Motorcycles are provided.
-Due to Covid-19 protocols, you must supply your own helmet (DOT approved 3/4 or full-face only. No half helmets permitted).
-Students must wear over the ankle skid-proof boot/shoe, with no heels taller than 2″, denim weight pant and long-sleeve shirt or jacket, eye protection, and full-finger gloves.
