🍂 Fall has arrived at Patt’s Place!

We’ve been adding a little fall around the campground, and this might just be our favorite time of year out here.

Cooler mornings, beautiful evenings, changing leaves, campfires, fishing, and some of the best camping weather Missouri gives us. 🍁

The campground is looking pretty cozy, the fish are biting, and we’re ready for all the things that make fall camping so good.

Who else thinks October was made for camping? 🏕️🍂

☕ Mornings at Patt’s Place just hit a little different.

A hot cup of coffee, a beautiful sky, the pond in the distance and a campground waking up to another peaceful morning.

No traffic. No hustle. Just a little fresh air and a pretty great view.

🎣 CHECK OUT THAT BASS! This mom just put the rest of the fam on notice!

One of our weekend campers just pulled this beauty out of the Patt’s Place catch-and-release pond — and it’s the second bass over 6 pounds caught in the last two weeks!

The fish are healthy, they’re active, and they are biting!

And apparently we have a little family competition happening this weekend:

Mom: 1 BIG bass 🏆
Dad: 0
Son: 0

Come on, guys... you’ve got some catching up to do. 😂

This is what fall camping is all about — cool mornings, beautiful evenings, campfires, and a little fishing in between.

The question is... can Dad or Son get on the board before the weekend is over? 🎣

🍂 Just wait until fall gets ahold of this view…

With skies looking like this, we can only imagine what it’s going to look like when all those trees surrounding Patt’s Place start showing their fall colors.

Overlooking the natural swimming pool and catch-and-release pond, this is quickly becoming one of our favorite views on the property.

Cool mornings, colorful trees, evening fires and sunsets over the water…

Sometimes the best part of camping is what’s waiting just outside your door. ❤️

We spent a little time on the Big River today, and I had to share these pictures. It’s easy to forget just how beautiful this little piece of Missouri is until you get out there and see it from the water.

One of the things that makes Patt’s Place a little different is that our registered campers have direct access to the Big River from the campground. It’s not something we make a big production out of—it’s simply another part of the property and another way our campers can get outside and enjoy where they’re staying.
Whether you want to spend some time on the river, fish our catch-and-release pond, sit outside and watch the wildlife, or just enjoy a quiet evening at your campsite, there’s a lot more here than simply a place to park your RV.
And some days, you just need to get out on the water and remember how pretty Missouri really is. ❤️

Does it get any better than this? ❤️

Sometimes I look around Patt’s Place and think… this is exactly why we love it here.

The ponds, the trees, the hills, the quiet—and that evening sun hitting the treetops just right. No traffic. No hustle. Just a beautiful Missouri evening and a place to slow down for a while.

We’ve put a lot of work into this little piece of property, and views like this make it all worth it.

Life is pretty darn good at Patt’s Place.
