2026 Arctic Cat Prowler Limited vs. 2027 Arctic Cat Prowler 800 Limited — What’s Actually Different? 👀

At first glance, these two machines look pretty similar — and honestly, mechanically, they ARE.

The 2027 isn’t a complete redesign of the Prowler Limited. Arctic Cat kept most of what already worked and made a few updates for the new model year.

WHAT BOTH MACHINES GIVE YOU:

So if you're expecting a completely different engine, more towing capacity or a radically different chassis for 2027 — that's not what happened. The core Prowler Limited platform carries over.

SO WHAT ACTUALLY CHANGED FOR 2027?

👉 The windshield setup is the big one.
Arctic Cat specifically identifies a fixed-position glass windshield with an integrated wiper and washer system as new for the 2027 full-size enclosed Prowler Limited models.

That gives the 2027 a more integrated factory setup for rain, mud and Wisconsin winter weather.

👉 Updated WARN winch equipment
Arctic Cat also expanded its use of multi-functional WARN Axon winches for the 2027 lineup. The Prowler 800 Limited still gives you 4,500 lbs. of winch capacity, but the 2027 lineup receives the newer WARN Axon setup.

THE IMPORTANT PART?
The 2026 isn't suddenly an outdated machine.

It still gives you the same basic 812cc three-cylinder powerplant, heated enclosed cab, G8 display, 12.5" ground clearance, serious cargo capacity and 2,000-lb. towing capability.

The 2027 is essentially the next evolution of an already well-equipped machine rather than a ground-up replacement.

That makes this comparison less about “Which year is better?” and more about:

Do you want the newest factory updates — or can you get a killer deal on the 2026 and keep most of the same capability? (and you can add in a windshield wiper/washer package at any time)
