🏍️ A Simple Reminder: We All Share the Road

Every ride begins with a choice: to stay alert, focused, and respectful of others on the road.

Motorcyclists face unique challenges, including reduced visibility, changing road conditions, and the actions of other drivers. At the same time, everyone behind the wheel or handlebars benefits from patience, awareness, and good decision-making.

A few facts worth remembering: ✅ Look twice before changing lanes or turning. ✅ Leave extra following distance in all directions. ✅ Wear proper protective gear every ride. ✅ Stay distraction-free whether driving or riding. ✅ Expect the unexpected.

Road safety is not about who's right or wrong. It's about making sure everyone gets home safely.

Our hearts are with everyone affected by today’s devastating motorcycle crash in Caldwell. ❤️

When a group of riders leaves home for a day on the road, no one expects it to end with people being hurt. Tonight, our thoughts are with every rider involved, their families, friends, and everyone waiting anxiously for news about someone they love.

We also want to recognize the first responders, medical crews, law enforcement officers, and everyone who rushed toward the scene to help. These are difficult calls, and their work matters.

For our Idaho riding community, today is a painful reminder that behind every helmet is a person — someone’s parent, child, spouse, sibling, friend, or loved one.

Please keep those involved in your thoughts tonight. Give the families space and compassion as they navigate the hours ahead, and please wait for verified information before sharing details about the crash.

To every rider out there: look out for one another. Get home safe. ❤️

Don’t miss your final opportunity this season to take your riding skills to the next level with an Enhanced Street Skills Course in Idaho Falls, Idaho.

This hands-on course is designed for riders who want to become more confident and capable in real-world riding situations.

What You’ll Practice
Emergency braking — Build confidence and control when you need to stop quickly.
Cornering skills — Improve speed control, line selection, and overall cornering technique.
Leaning and cornering — Develop smoother, more controlled motorcycle handling.
Confidence-building exercises — Practice challenging situations in a controlled environment so you can respond more effectively on the street.
Real-world street skills — Strengthen the techniques that help you ride with greater awareness, control, and confidence.

COURSE REQUIREMENT
A valid motorcycle endorsement is required to participate in this course.

Whether you want to sharpen your skills, improve your confidence in corners, or become better prepared for emergency situations, this course provides an opportunity to practice and improve in a controlled setting.

As we enter the 100 Deadliest Days—the period between Memorial Day and Labor Day when traffic fatalities tend to increase—it's more important than ever for riders to stay focused and ride responsibly.

In Idaho in 2024:
• 47 motorcyclists lost their lives in motor vehicle crashes.
• 58% of fatal motorcycle crashes involved only the motorcycle, meaning no other vehicle was involved.
• 35% of fatal motorcycle crashes involved an impaired rider.
