The open road is calling… but getting home safely is what matters most. 🏍️

Whether you're heading to a group ride, a weekend event, or simply enjoying Idaho's beautiful summer roads, every ride is an opportunity to make safe choices.

As we enter the 100 Deadliest Days—the period between Memorial Day and Labor Day when traffic fatalities tend to increase—it's more important than ever for riders to stay focused and ride responsibly.

In Idaho in 2024:
• 47 motorcyclists lost their lives in motor vehicle crashes.
• 58% of fatal motorcycle crashes involved only the motorcycle, meaning no other vehicle was involved.
• 35% of fatal motorcycle crashes involved an impaired rider.

The best ride is the one that ends safely.

🪖 Wear the right gear.
🏍️ Hone your craft. Sharpen your skills through motorcycle safety courses.
🚫 Never ride impaired.
👀 Stay alert and expect the unexpected.

Every decision you make on your motorcycle matters—to you, your passengers, and the people waiting for you at home.

Ride smart. Ride sober. Ride safely.

It was a busy week for STAR! Our director, Sunshine Beer, 30-year instructor, Tom Berry, his daughter, Katelyn Berry, and 20-year instructor, Brian Eichler (chairman of the Motorcycle Safety Task Force of Idaho, MSTFI) joined other motorcycle safety professionals for a media event at Carl's Cycle Sales. Media coverage was outstanding, and we always appreciate the opportunity to promote motorcyclist safety.

Sunshine, also an Idaho Traffic Safety Commissioner, participated in a commission meeting yesterday where some truly enlightening presentations were made by EMS and Idaho Office of Highway Safety and Idaho Idaho Transportation Department staff.

Besides offering training courses, Idaho STAR takes other outreach and education efforts seriously. Riders - we're in your corner!
