I haven’t talked about this kid enough!

is our rock!

Thomas was beating him in the race so he came up on his brother and learned about the situation mid race!

I can’t imagine how he felt but I know how he reacted.

He pinned it! Held it wide all the way to the finish to tell us what had happened!

He was shaking when he came in and we got him geared down and resting as quickly as we could.

He took some time to himself and then emerged one tough SOB, ready to do whatever needed to be done.

The next day he caught a ride back home with our amazing friend (who was kind enough to drive out with Ruth) and is now managing our household alone!

I know that a lot of people are worried about this generation coming up and some of them might be soft but not my kids! And not the kids they hang out with!

If you get a chance, send Ewan a message, tell him he rocks!

Oh and he ended up 36th overall in the race which is a big improvement over last national and that’s with a rough first loop and a stop to see that his brother was hurt!
