This isn’t another production LS block pushed past its limits. The new Smeding Performance Heavy-Duty 6-Bolt LS Iron Block was engineered from the ground up to handle the extreme cylinder pressure, high RPM and serious horsepower found in today’s naturally aspirated and boosted race engines.

Its heavy-duty cast-iron construction delivers greater strength and rigidity, while the 6-bolt head pattern provides more clamping force to help keep head gaskets sealed under big power. Billet-steel, 4-bolt splayed main caps add bottom-end stability, and an upgraded three-galley oiling system supplies the crankshaft and rods through a dedicated oil circuit.
