**SCAM ALERT** I had this clean 2014 Honda Accord v6 come in for a crank, no start. Upon a quick scan I found camshaft position codes, and I feared the worst for the customer. I found the timing belt broken! I made a call to the customer, but he was in shock because the timing belt had just been replaced 4 months ago! He had purchased what he thought was genuine Honda parts on EBAY!! Upon teardown , I confirmed that the parts were in fact counterfeit. This is becoming a big issue in our industry. Counterfeit parts are popping up for just about every brand. Fortunately for this customer, no valve train damage occurred. This was a big wake up call for this customer as he was just in my shop 1 month ago with a misfire on his Lexus which also had counterfeit NGK spark plugs and ignition coils, also recently replaced. Rest assured when you bring your vehicle to BC Auto that we source our parts from trusted distributors. So please don’t compare prices to internet prices, because if it seems too good to be true, it most likely is! We went back together with quality, made in Japan components.
