What if it could be a way to change the direction of a young person’s life?
� This week on The Corner Hangout, we welcome Diego from Destin2Shine and Ricardo Reyes for a conversation that hits very close to home for all of us at Phoenix E.O.D.
Destin2Shine is working toward becoming a nonprofit organization with a mission centered around young people—using automotive detailing and hands-on trade education to teach real-world skills, responsibility, confidence, work ethic, and ultimately provide another path toward a better future.
Because sometimes a kid doesn’t need another person telling them what they should become.
Sometimes they need someone willing to stand beside them and teach them what they CAN become.
And that's only part of tonight's story.
Producer Rick Smith has already introduced Diego and Ricardo to what we're building with The Soar & Restore Foundation—and apparently, these guys are just as excited about the possibilities as we are.
So tonight, we're going to talk about it.
How did Destin2Shine begin?
Why focus on youth?

What can learning a trade provide a young person beyond simply earning a paycheck?
What happens when mentorship, opportunity and community become just as important as teaching someone how to polish paint?
