From basic polishing to full body wet sanding, Hamptons Touch will deliver the absolute best result no matter the paint system. Choosing a detailer with advanced knowledge and training is crucial for ensuring that your vehicle receives the highest quality care and attention. Advanced training equips detailing professionals with in-depth understanding of the latest techniques, technologies, and products in the industry. This knowledge not only enables them to effectively address a wide range of vehicle surfaces and materials but also ensures that they stay abreast of industry advancements, providing you with the best possible service. Moreover, advanced training instills a sense of precision and expertise in detailers, allowing them to navigate the intricacies of different vehicle makes and models with confidence. This level of proficiency is particularly important when dealing with specialized finishes, intricate designs, or high-end materials commonly found in luxury vehicles. In contrast, detailers without advanced knowledge and training may lack the skills needed to handle specific challenges or may use outdated methods and products, putting your vehicle at risk of damage or subpar results. By choosing a detailer with advanced training, you are investing in the longevity and aesthetic appeal of your vehicle. As for why you should choose our detailing services, we go beyond just having advanced knowledge and training. Our commitment to excellence is reflected in our passion for delivering outstanding results. We prioritize continuous learning to stay at the forefront of industry trends and innovations. Our attention to detail is second to none, ensuring that your vehicle receives a level of care that goes beyond surface cleaning. Additionally, we understand that each vehicle is unique, and our personalized approach considers the specific needs and characteristics of your car. Whether it’s a classic beauty, a modern marvel, or a luxury vehicle, we tailor our services to enhance and protect its distinct features. In essence, choosing us means choosing a detailer who combines advanced knowledge and training with a genuine passion for preserving and enhancing the beauty of your vehicle, making us the ideal choice for those who demand nothing but the best. I named my business Hamptons Touch because it represents not only where I come from but also the level of quality and care I bring to every vehicle I work on. I grew up in Sag Harbor, NY, right in the heart of the Hamptons—a place known for its upscale lifestyle, prestigious communities, and world-class car culture. Growing up there, I was surrounded by luxury cars and an appreciation for excellence that shaped my passion for automotive detailing. The Hamptons is synonymous with sophistication and an eye for detail. It’s an area where people expect—and appreciate—the very best, and I wanted my business to reflect that same standard of excellence. At Hamptons Touch, I bring that high-end sensibility to every vehicle I work on, ensuring each car not only looks its best but is treated with the same level of respect and dedication that has defined the Hamptons’ reputation. By infusing my services with the Hamptons Touch, I blend my roots in a prestigious locale with a commitment to delivering top-tier automotive care. It’s about more than just cleaning cars—it’s about preserving and enhancing them to the highest standard, just like the community that inspired me.

This Range Rover came in with a severe amount of swirls covering the entire vehicle. Luckily the paint on this vehicle is so soft, a little bit of polish goes a long way. Afterwards, it received a layer of Gyeon Wax to really make the black paint pop.

This brand new Bentley Continental GT S was delivered in atrocious condition. You’d think that if you spend $400,000 on a car, it would be pretty well sorted upon delivery, but unfortunately that’s not the case here.

This car showed up with just about every kind of paint defect you can imagine. Swirls, rotary holograms, DA sanding marks, and tons of micro marring from a DA compounding step that was never refined that left behind so much haze, the car was practically two-tone under the correction lights.

This is one of the more severe new car preps I’ve done, and it’s crazy to think it’s on such an expensive vehicle.

After a very thorough 3 step correction process, the entire car was ceramic coated with Gyeon Infinite Base Type 2 to lock in that clarity and depth, and make cleaning a breeze.

I’ll upload a video showcasing all the issues this paint came with next.

This is a series of Instagram stories I had posted while working on this Mercedes last year. I typically upload more to my stories than making actual posts, so I may start stringing together these clips to show the progression of a job with or without some voiceover explanation of what’s going on.

This car was purchased used from a dealership, and the previous owner had one of those wipe on clear coats applied to it for whatever reason. You may have seen ads for them through companies like RestorFX or Icon Rocklear, or maybe you’ve seen a video of someone wiping a liquid over top horribly swirled or sun damaged paint, and it magically looks brand new again.

These products don’t add protection that just sits on the surface of the paint like a ceramic coating, or any other paint sealant, no, these products bite into the paint itself to create their bond.

They use what we refer to as hot solvents that chemically break down your clear coat so they can bond with it at a molecular level, and once the solvents evaporate, and the product dries, you get this chemically bonded “protection” that’s supposed to add thickness to your existing clear coat. The issues here are many.

These products are really meant for vehicles who have clear coat failure, but aren’t worth what it costs to repaint. They’re not meant to be used as protection for vehicles that have good paint still.

What you’ll see here in this video is the most obvious issue: clarity.

This stuff will leave nasty streaks all over your paint that are beyond unsightly.

Another issue is that some of these products require the paint to be sanded down before application, sacrificing more of your already limited OEM clearcoat just to… add more thickness to it? What?

Then there’s chipping, flaking, entire panels peeling away.

And if you want it removed, it’s not as easy as wiping it off, or even polishing it away.

It has to be sanded down.

So do yourself a favor, and stay far away from these BS miracle products.

It has been a year since correcting and coating this Lexus TX500h, so it came in for some annual maintenance. I’ve not seen this car since it was coated, but it wasn’t in too bad of shape. The hood required the most attention as it had some water spot etching, so it was cut down and recoated, while the rest of the vehicle received a light polish, and a ceramic top coat.

It’s important that you routinely maintain your vehicles after having a ceramic coating done because issues can and will arise if neglected. I know there’s a lot of “detailers” and marketing campaigns out there that make ceramic coatings sound like a ‘one and done’ type of deal, or that they last forever, but that’s not true at all. Coatings need maintenance just like anything else. This vehicle is a good example of one that has had maintenance done, but not frequently enough.

I do offer maintenance packages for vehicles I’ve ceramic coated (and only vehicles I’ve coated. I will not maintain another detailers ceramic coating.) for folks who can’t maintain them themselves, so please let know if you’re interested when purchasing a ceramic coating so you can get the most out of your investment.
