We are happy to have finally received this very fresh R380 gearbox from our great friends at Ashcroft Transmissions in the UK!
Per customer request, this R380 is equipped with heavier duty bearings as well as a higher ratio 5th gear! Sure to give this Defender a higher top end to sail the interstates with ease!

We recieved these photos today from a customer after installation of one of our prototype Euro license plate brackets! We supplied the foldable bracket as well as the personalized euro plate! We have a few more prototypes to cook up and some revisions to do before they are available for purchase on our website.

Once available, customers will be able to pick out or personalize a stamped European license plate to mount over their winch using our bracket!

These plates and brackets will be made to order, please anticipate a 2-3 week wait time for shipment as our plates are hand stamped in the UK and shipped to us for mounting on our brackets.

It’s looking like this R380 is toast and will be replaced rather than rebuilt! The repair cost would almost surpass the cost of a new R380 from the folks at Ashcroft Transmissions ! This seems to be a rather common issue in the Suffix K boxes. The new box certainly will be carrying some heavier duty bearings!
