Tad more progress this weekend. We knocked out some shade on this F250 & the 2500.

But the biggest win for the weekend was most definitely getting the motor out of the Vette! 1000% challenge without a lift, but the heart is out.

Now we move to inspecting & fixing the wiring harness issues, swapping over cams, covers, heads etc to the 6.0 going in.

Been a bit since an update, but here's some of the recent work I've been up to!

The Pacifica popped a radiator. Overall, not a terrible job, but it does require removing the entire front clip to get it out. Definitely more involved than it looks!

Then we got back into the Accord we did the timing job on not too long ago to take care of an oil leak. While I had it in the shop, I went ahead and knocked out some tint work too, so they aren't rolling around in a fishbowl anymore. 😂

And I'm still fighting with getting the Vette motor out through the top. I'm closer than I was at the last update, though! This is definitely a big project, and I'm excited to see the finished product. Probably not quite as excited as the owner... but I'd argue that point. 😂

This weekend’s work!!!

TK’s new car needed some darker shades… because Fish Bowl. 😂 TK did some detail work to it. Still teaching him the ropes on proper methods.

Grand Cherokee came in to get the front windows matched to the backs and a brow.

And then there’s the Z… 👀

Surgery/heart transplant has officially begun.

Normally, you’d lift the body off the chassis for this job.

Unfortunately, I don’t have a lift… yet.

Soooooo… out the top it comes. 😂

This should be interesting.

Got to spend some time with this Range Rover today.

Customer just picked it up and I think it turned out pretty damn good.

Full exterior detail:

* Wash
* Wheels & tires cleaned
* Exterior glass cleaned
* Paint enhancement & sealed

The metallic gray really came alive once it was cleaned up. Pictures don’t do the gloss justice.

Morning Sunrise! Back on the grind!

Go ahead and swipe through the photos first.

Then read this.

Most people think their car is clean after a wash.

It is not.

It just looks less dirty.

This is a 2001 Mercury Grand Marquis that already got the “normal clean” treatment. Soap, rinse, towel, tire shine. The same thing most cars ever get.

And it still looked like this.

So we went further.

Pressure washer & hand wash.

Still did not tell the whole story.

Because what you do not see is what is still bonded to the paint after all that. The stuff soap leaves behind. The stuff most people never even realize is there.

The clay pulled it out.

Then came the first correction pass. That is where things actually start changing, not by hiding defects, but by removing them. Finished results will be posted later.

No fillers. No glaze. No gimmicky “wipe-on clear coat” tricks. Just real correction.

And here is where it gets interesting.

Not new paint. Not a respray. Not a miracle.

Just a 2001 Grand Marquis brought back the right way.

Still not finished.

Most people do not need a wash.

They need to see what their paint is capable of looking like.
