New orfice tube vs. Old orfice tube after Ac Compressor shucked its guts....Wowza...that is some debris....Doin it the right way! Replacing all components and flushing the system!

Diesel friends, keep up on your maintenance!

I have lost count of the number of customers that come in every day for oil leaks or boost issues caused by clogged CCV filters.
It's one of the first things I ask when the customer describes a compliant and the exchange generally goes something like this:
"Has your CCV filter been changed?"-Me

"I let the dealership do all my services"-Them

"Okay...but has the CCV been changed?"

"I don't know what that is but the ghost of Henry Ford came down himself and blessed this $8 a hour l**e tech employeed by the dealer to make sure that my Diesel runs forever"

"Okay...uhhh yeah 😑 I'm looking under the hood and this has never been touched and you're about 120k miles over the service interval and the plugged CCV has blown these seals out and she's leaking more oil than the Exxon Valdez"

‼️‼️‼️CCVs need to be changed every 60k miles and about 40k if you idle a lot‼️‼️‼️
