Late racer report from last weeks Christmas makeup special race.
First up was late model with Nick Barnett winning over Mitchell Kelly, Dick Wolbers, Kevin Klein, and Matt Voss.
Next was Modified with Nick B winning his 2nd feature chased by Landen, Mitchell, Terry Kelly Jr., and Matt.
B Coupe was up next with Dick taking the checkers followed by Mitchell, Mark, Landon, and Terry.
Lastly the special event. Terry Kelly would dominate the race taking a commanding lead over Mitchell, Dick, Kevin, and Landen.

Attention Racers.
This Sundays race 11-2-26 has been pushed to next sunday 11-9-26 so that members can participate in a toys for tots charity cruise.
We will run the same classes on the 9th, 1/32 LM, Mod, Sprints, and a house class.

We had a great day of racing here at RRR with a good group of drivers from all different skill levels.
Modified saw Dick Wolbers take the checkers holding off Matt Voss and Nick Upmeyer in the feature.
B Mod would again see Dick in the winners circle with Terry Kelly Jr. and Nick Barnett closing out the podium, that 67 of Dicks is hard to match.
Vintage Nascar would see Terry get his first feature win at RRR holding off Nick B and Matt.
Late Model closed out the day and Terry would take the win in a borrowed car beating Nick B and Nick U (also in a borrowed car)

The new ride made it's debut today at Lug Nut Speedway Being a fresh build she needed broken in but the daughter showed promise in the C Main just missing out on the transfer slot.
A Main was held under the lights today, it definitely gave the track an awesome vibe and I'm glad lug Nut took the initiative on doing it as we spoke about it in the past, check out his page for today's racer report.

Don't forget to check your equipment.
Daughters vintage Late Model always struggled so we turned it into her big mod, car did ok but still struggled.
Took some time tonight to go over the car and after going back and forth with it I found the right rear wheel bent.
Car is handling better already.

Dick Wolbers sweeps the field.

Dick wolbers came to party for the valentines weekend event at Rabid Raccoon Raceway and boy did he show the ladies he still has it.
After some eventful heats had everyone guessing on the outcome it didn't take long into the first feature to see dick came to party.
Modifieds was our first feature and expectations were high for our number 1 and 2 qualifier Mitchell Kelly and Meghan Barnett but after a few laps they would fall off the pace and watch the rest of the pack run away. Dick would take the win with Terry Kelly and Nick Barnett holding on for dear life.
Next was our B Mods, Dick was able to use the cautions to his advantage chasing down Nick B for a pass with 3 to go and holding him off during his last lap charge to retake the lead. Mitchell would take 3rd with Nick Upmeyer hot on his heals, Terry was having issues with his ride all day and would retire early to avoid holding anyone else up.
Big Mods was another tight race with Dick and Terry fighting from green to checkers with dick holding him off for his 3rd win of the night. Nick B in a borrowed ride would take 3rd holding off Mitchell, Nick U having motor issues would round out the field finishing off the pace.
Last event of the night was our late models, the top qualifiers would select the high lanes looking at the heat finishes however they underestimated dick and his low end prowess. Dick would secure his 4th win of the evening taking the first 4 peat of the track and the season as Mitchell and Nick B kept getting into each other on the high side settling for 2nd and 3rd. Meghan would finally find her rhythm but too late to put pressure on the top and come 4th with Terry closing out the field.
Shout out to the rest of the competitors, thanks for joining us. I am impressed with Gregg's progress in only his 2nd event and know he will be charging to the front in no time.

This Sunday we will be running Big Mods (Lug Nut Speedway will provide loaners for those that need one), B Class, Modified, and Late Model.
