‼️Important Update‼️

We want to take a moment to share an important update with our valued customers and friends of the shop.

We’re excited to welcome Ed, our new Service Advisor, to the Axle Driven team! Ed comes to us with years of experience in the industry and a passion for taking care of customers. From booking appointments to keeping you updated on your repair status, Ed will be your go-to contact at the front desk.

Tyler is still very much a part of the shop — but he’s stepping into more of a Shop Foreman role. This means he’ll be spending more time in the bays, working closely with our technicians, ensuring quality control, and helping with diagnostics and workflow. His shift in focus will allow us to streamline our processes and get your trucks back on the road even more efficiently.

That said, Tyler will still be involved in the repair process and may reach out to you directly during your vehicle’s time in the shop. Whether it’s to ask a technical question, get approval for a recommendation, or provide a detailed update, don’t be surprised if you hear from him. We believe this direct line of communication adds clarity and ensures nothing gets lost in translation.

We understand that many of you have worked directly with Tyler in the past and may prefer to speak with someone you know. That’s totally okay — you’re always welcome to ask for Tyler. Just know that Ed is fully trained and equipped to handle your scheduling needs and answer most questions about your truck’s repair progress.

This change is part of our continued commitment to growing as a shop and serving you better. We truly appreciate the trust you place in us every time you bring your vehicle through our doors, and we’re confident that this adjustment will only improve your experience with us.

We apologize if anyone tried to reach the shop today and wasn't able to.

Today we split our guys up and half of us, along with Backridge Construction , went to roan mountain to volunteer our time and abilities. We had a successful day of volunteering, got to meet a lot of great people and we saw a lot of devastation. So many people are still without electricity, water, or a way to even get out of their own driveway but all of them were still so very high spirited about the situation. Not one person complained, they were just happy to see someone bringing them something as simple as bottled water and basic household items.

Our crew that stayed back at the shop were also a huge part of this day, we have a lot of "essential" trucks at our shop that need fixed so these trucks can be used to help with this disaster.

We will be back at the shop with a full crew tomorrow!

Our hearts and prayers go out to everyone affected by this terrible disaster.

We don't typically work on gas vehicles, but when this local church called and said the shop it was at wasn't capable of pulling the body, we stepped up to the plate.

**WE ARE MOVING**

It may seem like just a building to some people but this building is years of answered prayers to us. 1415 Shipley Ferry RD, Blountville, TN 37617 will be the new home of Axle Driven Diesel as well as Axle Driven Towing . This new location is only 10 minutes from our current location. We would like to ask our customers to please be patient with us as we make this transition. If you have finished vehicles at our Fordtown location and you have not paid the bills yet, please make arrangements to get these vehicles paid and removed with in the next coming weeks. Until further notice please continue to use the Fordtown location. We will notify everyone once we are officially moved into the new building.

*Diesel Technician Mechanic Job Responsibilities*:

Maintains diesel equipment operation by completing inspections and preventive maintenance requirements; correcting vehicle deficiencies; making adjustments and alignments; keeping records.

Diesel Technician Mechanic Job Duties:

Determines vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identifying worn and damaged parts.

Keeps equipment available for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules; installing component and part upgrades; controlling corrosion; completing winterization procedures.

Corrects vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems, such as, power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering, hydraulics; completes machine shop operations; making adjustments and alignments including bearing loads, gear tooth contact, valve mechanisms, governors, oil systems, control linkages, clutches, and traction units.

Verifies vehicle performance by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems.

Complies with federal and state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.

Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.

Enhances maintenance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
