David wasn’t just a name in the background; in Pfaffenhausen during the 1980s, he was Ruf’s engine program director for the legendary Yellowbird, a longtime specialist with Porsche Motorsport North America, and a trusted engine builder, restorer, and historian whose expertise shaped legends.

Now, from his estate, we’re offering an extraordinary selection of road and race Porsche cars, engines, gearboxes, tools, projects, and personal workshop treasures, and it’s all being sold without reserve on Hagerty Marketplace this fall.

Air/Water was spectacular with so many spectacular Porsches, in fact most models were presented! Amongst the perfectly prepped Porsches, the 2018 Petit Le Mans class winner stood head and shoulders above all the other cars, in my humble opinion. Spectacular!
