After eight years of dedicated service, Mert Robbins, a mechanic at our St. Paul location, is officially retiring!

Throughout his time at TCTR, Mert has been a steady and dependable presence in the shop, known for his reliability and craftsmanship. As he begins this next chapter, he’s looking forward to spending more time at his cabin in Wisconsin and enjoying some well-earned rest and relaxation.

Please join us in thanking Mert for his commitment, skill, and the many contributions he’s made to TCTR over the past eight years.

🚨 Winter Driving Safety Reminder 🚨
With snow on the way and a busy holiday travel week ahead, roads will be slick and unpredictable. If you slide off the road:

❄️ 1. Stay Calm & Stay Put (if it's safe to do so!)
Turn on hazards and stay inside your vehicle with your seatbelt on.

❄️ 2. Stay Visible & Aware
Keep your hazards on, turn your interior lights on if it’s dark, and make sure your car is as far from traffic as possible—but stay inside.

❄️ 3. Call for Professional Help
If it’s an emergency or you’re injured, dial 911.
Otherwise, call a professional tow company and share your exact location and vehicle details, then wait safely inside.

🚧 And please:
When you see flashing lights, SLOW DOWN and MOVE OVER.
It protects our tow operators and helps everyone get home safely.

🚨 Crash Responder Safety Week 🚨

This week, Twin Cities Transport & Recovery stands in solidarity with crash responders across Minnesota and the nation — tow operators, law enforcement, fire, EMS, and highway workers — who put their lives on the line every time they step out onto the roadway.

Every year, dozens of responders are struck and injured, and far too many lose their lives while simply doing their job. These are fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, friends — people just trying to get home safely to their families.

That’s why we join the Minnesota State Patrol in reinforcing one message:

👉 Slow Down. Move Over. Every. Single. Time.

Your choices behind the wheel can save lives. Thank you for helping keep our team — and every crash responder — safe.

Big thanks to Lake Johanna Fire for inviting some of our team to participate in this valuable training opportunity to expand our skillset— we always appreciate the chance to hear the latest EV techniques alongside our first responders.

Thank you to Jesse, Cathy, Greg and Aaron with Vehicle Response Training for delivering our third training session tonight. We had some extra seats and invited our friends from Minnesota Department of Transportation and Twin Cities Transport & Recovery. Electric vehicles in a compromised state need to be handled with care so we're learning how to keep ourselves and others safe!
