As many of you know, Borchers Auto Service Inc has been here at 87 Coles Road since 1983. Effective June 26, 2026 we are permanently closed. As hard as it was, it was time.
My dad, Dick Borchers started in 1977 with a repair shop and gas station and moved here in 1983. Most of the developments weren’t even here. It was a farm down the street. But he made it work. He decided to retire about 10 years ago and moved to Florida.
As a little girl he had me pumping gas as this little blond girl. Then it became getting dirty in the shop and doing chores with my sisters to get allowance. I worked for him throughout high school after sports and through some college. Then through me having kids and now grandkids.
When he decided to retire, he left me the decision to take over and I did. This was an awesome thing for me. Many people had been customers forever and I didn’t see myself doing anything else or being anywhere else.
Over the 43 years of being here we have had a tremendous amount of customers that will be forever friends. We have also had some so the most amazing employees that people will never forget, including the most recent.
As many may know or don’t, I have had some major medical issues over the past 7 months. I had a brain tumor, brain surgery and brain cancer. Everything is going well and I take it with the best attitude day by day. But the time has come to let someone start new in our location!!
We want to thank everyone for being such amazing and loyal customers that we could never forget. The phones will still be on for a few months for anyone needing information. Again, thank you so much and we appreciate it more than everyone will every know or expect.
