From the 471 Racing team to you, we hope everyone had a happy and safe 4th of July! 🇺🇸🎇

June 13th - Jamestown
Heat 1👉🏼2
Feature was a hard fought battle
Feature 10th👉🏼2nd! (Kayla finally got her 2nd place Kuchen!)

LegeNDary Tour the 471 only took in Mandan and Jamestown
June 19th - Mandan
Of course he did well cuz the wife wasn’t there!
Heat 1st👉🏼1st
Feature led most of it till the last lap, slid up and took home 2nd!
June 20th - Jamestown
Heat 9th👉🏼3rd making it into the A main
Feature 11th👉🏼7th but the car was drivable, and nothing to fix or work on!!

June 26th - Mandan
Heat 1st 👉🏼 DNF, sorry to everyone who was the recipient of the broken gas line spillage!
With the DNF, Austin had his work cut out for him in a B-Main to hopefully make it in the the big show with only top 4 going.
B-Main 10th 👉🏼 1st!
A-Main 17th 👉🏼 7th!

Jamestown off this week for Mid Season Break.

4th of July week🎇 Austin won, and got to go racing against Kayla’s preference!

July 2nd - Underwood
Heat 1st 👉🏼 1st
Feature 4th 👉🏼 5th, again the car was drivable and no fixing!

July 4th - Jamestown (only because we’re current points leader!)
Heat 6th 👉🏼 3rd
Feature 4th 👉🏼 1st! Was a great race throughout the track, even with less cars than usual.
(Kayla got to watch some fireworks , so it was a compromise! ☺️)

No races in Mandan for Legends this week either, so onto Jamestown on Saturday!

🏎️471 2.0 (aka. McCoy) racing weekend recap! 🏁

Dacotah Speedway power wheels races

Put with a tough group, he was the baby!
He was put in the big kid group (of only 3 of them!) him being 4 and the rest being 7 but he held his ground!
Found out dad needs to put a bigger battery into her for the next race!
We discussed before the race even started that win or lose, as long as you have fun!
His bracket did 5 laps around the cones.
He took 2nd! Came up and says to me “momma I didn’t win, but I had a lotta fun!!” 🤩 that’s all that matters dude, that’s all that matters! 🫶🏼🏎️🏁

🏎️471’s past week recap🏁

Wednesday night Boss Man decided at 5pm we were headed to McLean County Speedway for the Tougher Than Dirt Tour. 🙄 like mom has nothing or no one to get ready!
Heat 6 👉🏼 1
Feature 2 👉🏼 3!

No races in Mandan last Friday so we motored to Aberdeen Brown County Speedway, new to us, and will be back!
Heat 3 👉🏼 2
Cautions fell often and of course when you don’t want them!
Feature 5 👉🏼 2

Spent the next morning at Storybook Land with the kiddos, then boogied up to Jamestown for Saturday nights race.
Heat 3 👉🏼 1st
Feature 8 👉🏼1st 🏆
The Feature was a fun one! It’s a joy when everyone can race side by side cleanly and it doesn’t end up being a blowout! Was definitely any one of the top 5+ cars chance at winning it. When the checkered flag dropped the 471 ended up with the “W”! McCoy is certain it’s because him and Claire cleaned dad’s car with baby wipes during intermission! 🤣

This week was Mandan last night.
Austin still hasn’t figured it out that he should pick the kids up from daycare and let them draw for him! Pill drawing an 88/100 🤦🏼‍♀️
Heat 10th 👉🏼 1st!
Feature started p. 10th and with only a few laps in and some tough luck of getting ran over. The 471 received some rear end damage ending the night with a DNF.

Got her home, repaired, and onto Jamestown tonight for what we could only hope for some better luck!

Dacotah Speedway
Heat, started 6th and with a last lap pass took 1st!
Feature, started 11th and battled hard with 2nd thru 6th and took 6th!

Onto Jamestown tonight,
Well….
We Came, we Saw the forecast, and we Conquered to get rained out! 🤪 ☔️

NO races this coming Friday in Mandan so will probably be trying Claire’s pill drawing again in Jamestown on Saturday!

Better late than never!!
Dacotah Speedway - Mandan
Night 1- 2nd
Night 2- 5th
Night 3- 3rd
This past weekend was a little damp to go racing on Friday in Mandan, so we went to Jamestown on Saturday!

Jamestown Speedway-
Heats 8th 👉🏼 2nd (McCoy has been demoted to getting to pill draw! (95th out of 100!) then turns around and asks me if he did good drawing and where daddy will get to start! 😆 last buddy… last!)
Random redraw for lineup of the feature went just as well as it did for the heats…
12th outa the top 12! At this point was hoping for a top 10 finish and not having to work on the car at all this weekend/week.
Feature 12th 👉🏼 4th 🙃 and no fixing the car

Onto Mandan again this Friday, green flag flies at 7pm, come out and join us! Looks like it will be above freezing temps for once this year!
