FMCSA Administrator Derek Barrs to Speak at NDMCA Annual Convention September 2.
The North Dakota Motor Carriers Association is pleased to announce that FMCSA Administrator Derek D. Barrs will provide a federal regulatory update at the 2026 NDMCA Annual Convention on Wednesday, September 2, at the Alerus Center in Grand Forks.
As the administrator of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, Barrs leads the federal agency responsible for commercial motor vehicle safety and oversees the regulations that impact every motor carrier, commercial driver, and transportation company across the country. He brings more than three decades of experience in commercial vehicle enforcement, public safety, and transportation leadership, including serving as chief of the Florida Highway Patrol before being appointed to lead FMCSA.
This timely session will provide attendees with updates on federal initiatives, regulatory priorities, and the issues shaping the future of the trucking industry.
