In most cases, during a lawnmower service, the fuel is emptied out of the fuel tank, then clean the fuel tank and add fresh fuel back in. Pictured is the inside of a lawnmower fuel tank. The picture doesn’t do justice but there is about 4 to 5 large size flies in the gas tank. This can definitely restrict fuel to the engine. This is more common than a person would think

Tips for keeping your grass green during these hot days;
1: Water deeply (30 mins or so per zone) early morning-3am or so. Not during the daytime hours. Usually the wind goes down overnight. Better to water deeply 2-3 days per week than little amounts daily. Train your grass roots to go down.
2: Raise your mower deck up a notch or two to keep your grass longer.
Just some things i do personally to keep my grass growing during the heat. The gardens love this weather though!

Another set of blades that needed to be replaced. The customer didn’t even know until they were shown. Our lawnmowers have been cutting some serious grass the last few years and I bet most blades haven’t been sharpened at the least. Just think of what your missing😉

Change your walk behind lawnmowers engine oil every 50 hours or once per season and your riding mower's oil every 50 to 100 hours of operation or once per season, whichever comes first. However, for a brand new mower, always perform an initial break-in oil change after the first 5 to 10 hours to clear out any metal shavings. The walk behind lawnmowers oil needs to be changed sooner because the engine doesn’t have an oil filter.

Do you feel your lawnmower isn’t cutting properly or bagging as good as it used to? This could be your issue. Keeping the underside of your lawnmower clean is imperative to its performance. Also, reverse washing (spraying water from the outside of the bag in) the bag is important. It keeps the airflow moving in the bag so the grass can fill the bag.
