These types of off-road vehicle rescue are our jam. We have the resources, equipment and know how to weasel our way into nasty areas to take on some of the most difficult off-road recoveries. Whether it’s a 40ft rv on a narrow dirt road or a rollover on a switchback, we have what it takes to safely rescue your vehicle.

Some information on this incident: while searching for a campsite the owner of the vehicle lost brakes on the way down a switchback dirt road. Not wanting to roll a couple hundred feet down a ravine, he opted to steer the truck into the uphill side of the road. This caused the truck to bounce and roll onto its roof.

Thankfully everyone was ok, but shaken up. It was a hard enough crash to set off the airbags. We’re also very thankful for for responding to this call and getting these guys to safety where they could recoup and make plans to recover their truck.

We’re also very blessed to have as a close friend and can call on him anytime to bring Creepy to assist with difficult rescues. Derek also has an off road recovery and plow business, as well as a volunteer with his local SAR. ☃️🪢

Another victim of re route 40ft RV towing a vehicle and two scooters. The customers were unable to turn around on their own, so continued down this road until it became too deteriorated to continue. They spent several hours stuck on a very sandy hill but fortunately they were able to detach the towed vehicle and get themselves moving. At that point they were exhausted and defeated so they called in the professionals. Someone was quoted telling them that it was either hire a helicopter or hire us. With power lines right above the trail they knew they needed the off road rescue specialists.

We knew this was going to be complicated and delicate rescue, so we decided to give our best friend Derek a call to help pilot this beast out of there. With some minor winching to move boulders off the trail and some road building with we were able to limp the RV back to asphalt

Jena, Tim, and I went on a wild adventure to to rescue a Toyota Tacoma stuck in a snow drift. The owner was headed to Bodie State Park but got stuck in the snow, because, well, who doesn't love a good snow-day? After six hours of trying to get unstuck, they called us, and we brought Tim along to help speed things up. With a massive storm brewing, we worked our magic, and with a quick 2:1 winch pull, the truck was back on solid ground

This is not directed at this customer in any way. They were eager to learn and knew they made a mistake, as most of our customers don’t want to end up in a situation like this again.

I think I can help clarify though. In the past we have reported several blatant violations to local agencies. We primarily work with BLM, USFS and the Inyo and Mono Sheriffs dept who are the enforcement agencies for these areas. For several years we had two USFS Leo’s for all of for almost 2million acres of land, making it very near impossible for them to respond to a call from us. This may have changed some but in the past the priority was fire and human life. Most of our calls, including this one, come from the Sheriff’s dept which is the primary agency to issue citations in When we receive a call through the Sheriff’s dept it is typically treated as a life and death situation. Meaning we are on the clock and the priority is getting these people out of the backcountry. The second priority for us is removing the vehicle as fast and safely as we can from these sensitive areas. We do not want any additional damage done like an oil spill etc.

So how do we educate users? Utah has a great program that I think we can adopt. But we still need bodies for enforcement, and does this start to infringe on our freedom?

My point is we are in a very remote area with limited resources. These agencies are all greatly underfunded and under staffed, bogged down by bureaucracy. Don’t expect them as a whole to make a drastic change, so the solution lies with us, the people. Start with actions. Be the example. Step up and spark a meaningful conversation, rather than just commenting “you cant park there”
