The Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) has scheduled the 2026 International Roadcheck – aka DOT Week or DOT Blitz Week – for May 12–14, 2026. During this 72-hour period, inspectors across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico will conduct an average of 15 inspections per minute.

For trucking companies and owner-operators, this “DOT Blitz” is more than a safety check—it’s a major operational hurdle that can lead to out-of-service (OOS) orders, costly fines, and freight delays.

❄️ Truck & Equipment Cold Weather Tips

Fuel treatment: Use anti-gel additives before it gets cold. Keep tanks as full as possible to reduce condensation.

Batteries: Cold kills weak batteries. Clean terminals, check voltage, and carry jumper cables or a jump pack.

Coolant: Make sure antifreeze is rated for your coldest route (-40°F if you run north).

Air system: Drain air tanks daily—frozen moisture = no brakes.

Block heater: Plug it in whenever you can. Huge help for cold starts.

Belts & hoses: Cold makes old rubber crack—inspect often.

Mobile Field Technicians will drive a company service truck with phone, tablet, & computer

Position Responsibilities:

-Performing service and repairs to existing accounts onsite at location and in garage.

-Perform Computer Diagnostics with ability to independently correct issues.

-Maintain accurate and complete work records.

-Maintain an acceptable driving record in accordance with company policy.

-Maintain clean vehicle, equipment, and working area.

Qualifications:

-Seeking individuals with at least 5-10 years of light to heavy diesel experience.

-Knowledge of safe driving practices-must have valid driver’s license (CDL preferred) and acceptable driving record.

-Ability to lift and carry large, heavy (up to 75 lbs) objects.

- Ability to operate various hand and power tools and equipment and safely operate a motor vehicle.

-Ability to work in a performance oriented and fast-paced environment.

-Skilled in providing ‘best in class’ customer service.

-Skilled in verbal communications.
