Well, as long overdue as it is, it's finally time to close the chapter that was Town Automotive Mobile Repair.
I want to thank each and everyone of you that liked, shared, followed our journey, and most importantly gave us your business. For two years you guys put food on my family's table, and for that, I'll be forever grateful!
I want to be clear as to why it was necessary to stop operations. Business was literally too good. It was better than I could have ever imagined. It was so good that my body could literally no longer hold up to the demand of repairing vehicles. After a half dozen surgeries, bad recoveries, getting COVID twice (once postponing my hand surgeries), full blown arthritis, countless cuts, bumps, and bruises- I can literally no longer hold an impact in my hand without pain. I am officially stepping away from any hands-on vehicle repair.
This is a very somber moment for me. I truly loved wrenching. I loved that it gave me the opportunity to live a full life (much of my career spent as a single dad), that I was able to help people in need, and that it was so mentally stimulating. It has flat out been my meditation for nearly half my life. I will still be wrenching a little for my race program, but my days of putting in a shift listening to a podcast and working with my hands are over.
I will say that I did find a new love, running a business. I found that I have a unique perspective that people gravitate to, and that I'm actually pretty good at being a leader (but I'm the oldest child, so I already knew that 😆) I don't have an exact answer on what's next although I have a few narrowed down. I know I'm going to go back to school and hone some skills in because being self taught is exhausting!
Stick around! I'm not going to delete this page, although I am going to rename it. I will be offering some services in the future
** All warranties on previous repairs WILL still be honored**
Feel free to reach out!
With all of my heart, thank you.
