The Head of the Class Award is determined by track ownership and goes to an individual who is at the race track on a weekly basis and this individual goes about his or her business in such a manner that you never hardly realize that they are at the race track. Because they are a well-liked individual by everyone at the track and hardly are involved in any negativity at the race track.

For 2014 there were two winners of the Head of the Class, one a driver and the other a car owner.

Chris Wood was the driver as he races in the Modified division. Chris is a very quiet person on and off the race track, but he also is a very willing person to help out any competitor who is in need of help at the race track. Chris is also recognized as one of the smoothest drivers in the Modified division (Article from Raceproweekly.com)

Finally got some racing in, on May 3rd started 7th and finished 5th, then last week we had 2 feature races. the 1st was part 1 of a twin 20 started 10 and finished 8th, the 2nd feature 30 laps started 6th and finshed 4th . Thanks to all my fans

This past weekend was the 5MP banquet in which we came home with 3 awards, 5th in points (not bad for my first year in a modified) , also got rookie of the year and best appearing modified. I'd like to thank my crew Pat , Jason, Jesse, Billy, and Scott for the help and time they have given week after week and a special thanks to my sponsors RB Chapman, Core Building Supplies,Southern Tier Pump Systems, and Country Town Auto.
