Off-Season Island Runs: Sunset to Full Moon Run Home
​This little Boston Whaler opens up an entirely different world on the Mississippi Coast. Staying out on the barrier islands past sunset and making the run back home under a bright full moon changes the game. Summer might be over, but I captain this boat all year long. Out here in the off-season, having an entire beach and island completely to yourself is an experience like nothing else. Pure freedom on the water.

We need more Boston Whaler footage other than the 150 Sport. This means we need an event.
​Look at how car clubs run things: meet up, talk shop, cruise together. That blueprint has worked for decades, and it is the exact premise of the Biloxi Boston Whaler Club.
​Summer is turning into fall, which makes it prime time for Intracoastal and inland runs. Even as the seasons shift, boating on the Coast is year-round, and a club meetup is the perfect excuse to launch, run, and talk Whalers.
​Between full-time work and multiple commitments, organizing solo only goes so far. If we want regular meetups and a feed packed with different hulls, we need a crew to help steer.

Moonlit Run Home: Ship Island to Ocean Springs
​Navigating back to the Ocean Springs boat ramp from Ship Island in the dark was an unforgettable experience. With the full moon lighting up the water and laying out our course, it turned the run back into pure magic. Confident night navigation, quiet water, and an experience I’d repeat in a heartbeat.

Dog Keys Pass to Horn Island: Next Flotilla Destination?
​Ran the 150 Sport through Dog Keys Pass out to Horn Island today, and the water was unreal. Clean, emerald green, loaded with fish, and packed with that wild, untouched character you can only get on a true barrier island run.
​This run delivers the full offshore experience while staying well within what these classic hulls were built to handle. We definitely need to rally the Biloxi Boston Whaler Club fleet and make this our next official flotilla destination.

Harvest Moon Weekend on the Water
​Weekend forecast is shaping up right for September 26th & 27th. The winds are predicted to lay down, seas are calming out, and tonight brings a massive Harvest Moon lighting up the Mississippi Sound.
​The 15 Sport is splashing and heading out toward the barrier islands. If you spot the classic red top out on the water, throw up a hand and say hello.

Last weekend was beautiful on the Boston Whaler out Horn Island! Let's all get out here together before the the colder weather sets in. We can hit the back Bay the bayous and the rivers over the winter months. Who would we into meeting at Horn Island In their Boston Whalers ? For the smaller boats, we can meet at Deer Island and flotilla together for safety if you're worried about the middle grounds?
