MEET TOMMY!
He may come and go, but he’s too important to not give an introduction post!
If you’ve been around T&T for a while, there’s a pretty good chance you already know Tommy and he’s probably worked on some of your units— and some of our longtime customers have practically watched him grow up in the shop.
When schools shut down during COVID, Tommy was still in middle school. Instead of staying home, he started coming to the shop with his dad every day. He’d do his schoolwork then spend the rest of his time working alongside Tim, learning the business and getting his hands dirty.
Over the years, Tommy became a pretty important part of T&T.
When Tim was seriously injured in his accident last year, Tommy stepped up in a huge way. While also getting ready to leave for his freshman year of college in Bozeman, he took on a big part of the responsibility of helping keep the shop going when our family needed it most. He also spent his whole summer this year helping run things, as his dad has a long ways to go before he’s healed from his accident. Tommy was monumental in helping to run the shop this summer, while Tim underwent surgeries.
These days, Tommy is a little farther from the shop. He’s currently in Miami studying mechanical engineering — but we have a feeling all those years spent working beside his dad probably had a little something to do with the path he chose. 😉
Outside of school and the shop, Tommy loves camping, hiking, fishing, snowboarding, motorcycles, and — like his dad — drag racing!!
And he’ll be back home soon to climb behind the wheel! Tommy is coming home to race in the YDS MOPAR Race on September 11, an event T&T is proud to sponsor.
He may be off chasing an engineering degree right now, but Tommy will always be part of the crew that helped build T&T into what it is today.
We’re pretty dang proud of this young man of ours❤️
