We have had an influx of new customers into the shop over the last couple weeks as well as a bunch of new followers, so we thought it appropriate to re-share this!
Know your tech and trust who is working on your bike!
Today is "get to know your tech" day. You only have two wheels under you and you should know and trust who is working on it. You should know that they have the experience to diagnose your issue, fix whatever that is and fix it right. That is where Stu comes into play. Factory trained, Factory certified, no YouTube certifications here!
This will be year 22 for Stu in the industry. Starting in 2004 at LastLook Customs with metric bikes, he was rebuilding engines, painting bikes, fabrication and everything in between. Stu then a few years working on import performance cars as well within the same shop, focusing mostly on the Toyota/Scion platform. Some of you will remember the twin turbo supra, the star car xB, the first turbo second gen xB on the east coast, plus all the show bikes and much more. Stu then found a passion for Harley Davidson and entered into dealership life. Working with some of the best techs in the area, going through the Harley Davidson training program and developing his current skills. Moving from Connecticut to Maui, he started as a tech with Cycle City Maui. Furthering his Harley training and becoming a Master Tech with H-D. With Cycle City, Stu also had factory training with Yamaha, Kawasaki, Honda and KTM as well. His passion always lies with Harley-Davidson though! Stu moved up from tech to service manager to parts/service director while there. After 7 years out on the beautiful island of Maui, he is now in Billings and owns this shop, Magic City CustomWorx. He has had the shop since February of 2019 and has loved every second of it. His motto has always been "Give the best service you can at the best price you can and be honest with people no matter what."
So come on down and see us here at Magic City CustomWorx. We know your bikes inside and out. We aren't on YouTube figuring it out, we know when bearings get pushed out and not pulled out, we aren't going to replace it all if all of it isn't broken, we properly diagnose, etc. We know how to fix your bike correctly and get you back on the road!
Long story short, know who is working on your bike and know their background. Ask questions, ask them what their qualifications are, ask them what training they've had. Too many people think they can fix your bike because they have one and far too many customers trust that someone is qualified.
Thank you all for 7 great years of business in Billings and we can't wait for this year!!!
